He splits his time between El Paso and Las Cruces, where he shares the road (and the couch) with his trusty dog, Scout.

Keith Mikas is a professional in the Waste Industry, having earned his B.A. in radio, television, and film from California State University, Long Beach, and an M.S. in sustainability management from National University. He is currently employed as an Environmental Services Senior Assistant Manager at a San Diego Amusement Park.
Beyond his professional career, Mikas is an active civic and community advocate in the San Diego area, notably as a past president of the Electric Vehicle Association of San Diego. He has been a long-time proponent of electric vehicles and the benefits of programs like California's Clean Air Vehicle decal. In 2016, Mikas ran for the nonpartisan District 5 seat on the San Diego City Council and has also served on an Ad Hoc Election Committee for the City of San Diego
